A Pen Picture of your Captain Fred was born in Walthamstow, East London in 1948. He has two sons, Keith and Tim and two grandchildren, Samantha and Gavin. He says he also has a 'sort of daughter' Emma through his long term partner and best friend Suzanne. His first work experience was in farming, mainly with pigs. Unsure about a future in farming, he joined his old agricultural pal, Tony Rogers in the family business (Rogers of Redhill) that was about to add ceramic tiles to its portfolio of products. Fred is now Sales Director. Suzanne started Fred on the golf track when she brought him home a voucher for lessons with a golf pro from the local supermarket 12 years ago. Tony Trimble introduced him to TIGS and he has supported us ever since. He is a member of Bletchingly Golf Club and currently plays off a handicap of 15. His favourite course is Royal County Down in Northern Ireland. His best golfing memory is winning his first ever trophy at his golf club, all the others pale into insignificance! Fred looks forward to the next two years as Captain of TIGS, hoping he can get his name etched onto one of our nine trophies during his term in office. You can reach Fred on: 01293 431528
