The H&R Johnson Trophy 2010 |
The 114th meeting of TIGS, 1st of our 21st season held on our 21st anniversary, was held at Wallasey Golf Club (Wirral)
on Thursday 18th March 2010.The weather forecast gave us a gloomy outlook, but as usual for TIGS it turned out to be a very
nice day with a few drops of rain with a slight breeze which is usual when you play a links course.
The course was not as good as last year, but with the harsh winter we have had it played better than it looked. The tees
were a bit forward making the course quite a bit shorter than last year, but the greens were quite fast. I don’t think it
spoilt the day as the outlook from Wallasey is fantastic.
23 members and 9 guests competed for The H & R Johnson Trophy. The winner with a superb score of 38 points was Chris Harris.2nd
was new member John Boyd with a good score of 37 points, Simon Woodbridge was 3rd on a respectable 36 points.
