(Captain)

01782 372290 (H/W)

Mick, age 56, started in the tile industry as an apprentice ceramic wall tile and floor tile fixer in the days of sand & cement fixing. In 1968 he became self employed and in 1972 formed M.J.Boulton (Burslem) Ltd, later to become known as the Hamill Group. The company ceased trading in 1992. After short spells with the Danish tile manufacturers Hasle, Euro Ceramics and T.J.Tiling, Mick became self employed again in 1998 specialising in contract estimating, pre-contract meetings and final accounts. He has established an exclusive working relationship with J.C.A.Tiling. Mick took up golf in his early 30’s, has a club handicap of 18, to which he plays to (he says) once a year, and is a member of Trentham Park Golf Club.

Married to Elaine for 36 years they have two daughters and three grandchildren. Having met Michael Heath & Chris Harris on the committee of N.A.T.D. and at BAL and H&R Johnson meetings he is a founder member of TIGS.

Mick plays golf mainly at weekends for fun. He was the first winner of the Royal Mosa Trophy, TIGS’s annual match play KO competition in 1995 and he won The Cecrisa Trophy at Chester in 1991 with 39 points.

His ambition is to make his fortune selling his interest in Rotanet, a revolutionary, fully retractable, space saving golf practice net.

His favourite course is The Old Course at St Andrews where he played in a Rotary competition in 1992 and scored a net 71 against the par of 72. Yes, his handicap was cut!
